Powelectrics Welcomes Paul Brack to our Development Team!!

Powelectrics are delighted to welcome Paul Brack, who has joined us as a Senior Developer!

With degrees in computer science and bioinformatics, Paul brings broad development experience, including work in protein biochemistry, natural history research, corporation tax and insurance.

If that wasn’t diverse enough, he also helped establish a ground-breaking £18 million science research lab at Manchester University, where he met and worked with Powelectrics CTO, Peter Crowther.

Paul told us:

“It’s great to join Powelectrics and work with Peter again! Software is usually just about moving data around, but I’m excited to work in physical computing, where the customer can press a button and something actually moves!

My childhood ambition was to be an inventor, solving the challenges in people’s daily lives. The Internet of Things can now achieve things that simply weren’t feasible ten years ago. At Powelectrics, I’m already contributing on projects that will improve the quality of working life and make businesses safer, more efficient and less damaging to the environment”

Peter Crowther added:

“I’ve worked with Paul on previous projects and been impressed with his rare ability to understand customers’ environments and build something appropriate for the job. When he became available, I snapped him up!”

Outside of work, Paul enjoys travelling, gardening, long-distance, off-road cycling and has eclectic musical tastes, ranging from brass bands to big beats!
